FAQS

Is this an official Taco Bell-sponsored event?

No. This is an independent, community-organized challenge inspired by the classic Taco Bell 50K concept. Taco Bell is not affiliated with or responsible for this event.

What is the cost to enter?

$0. There is no cost to enter this race. However, the cost of food items at each Taco Bell location is the responsibility of and must be purchased by the individual runner.

I thought this was a 50k? The course is 33 miles...

We’re using ultra math. It’s close enough.

Are substitutes allowed?

Yes, Taco Bell has a very flexible menu and most items can be customized to meet your dietary preferences. Vegans, for example: the crunchwrap supreme and bean burrito are both available as vegan options.

Do you have to consume a different item at each stop?

No, but variety is the spice of life and spirit of this race! Please make sure to consume the required items per the rules.

For the mandatory items, what does "by the 4th stop" and "by the 8th stop mean?

By stop #4, you must have eaten one (1) Chalupa Supreme or Crunchwrap Supreme.

By stop #8, you must have eaten one (1) Burrito Supreme or Nachos Bell Grande.

You may eat them earlier than those stops — they just must be completed by those points.

All other items are your choice. Variety encouraged.

Are sides and sweets allowed?

EH - technically yes, but don't cheat yourself.

How should I order my food?

Ordering Ahead
Yes — you are absolutely encouraged to order ahead using the Taco Bell app.

For the first 2–3 stops, ordering ahead will help avoid long waits.

Download the Taco Bell app

Save all 8 locations before race day

Pick up items quickly at each stop

Store receipts and wrappers in a ziplock bag

Important: One item must be consumed at each location before proceeding to the next stop.

Courtesy Note: Please order early and be patient and polite to their staff and leave the establishment in better condition, then when you entered.

Is it allowed to order ahead for the food and collect the receipt or does it have to be ordered on-site?

A: You can absolutely order your food in advance, and are encouraged to do that. In fact, you could order it the night before, and consume one item and each stop if you wanted to. That would be helpful for the first 3 stops as they will probably be the busiest depending on how fast you are. We ask that each runner bring a ziplock bag with them on race day to store your Taco Bell wrappers. At the end of the run, all Taco Bell wrappers will be counted down and if you are missing on wrapper, you will be DQ'ed. We must see all 9 wrappers. Final note: one item must be consumed at each location before proceeding to the next location.

How can I navigate the course?

Google Maps

The Taco Bell app

Saved pins for all 8 locations

You are responsible for your own safety and must follow all traffic laws.

Are the roads gonna be closed or are there signs pointing us in the correct direction or do we have to rely on GPS?

The roads will not be closed and there will be no signs pointing you in the correct direction. Using GPS will be your best bet to navigate the route.

Is walking allowed?

Absolutely - run, skip or crawl across - finish however you need to.

Is there support on the course?

None whatsoever, so plan accordingly. As much as this is a race, don't let haste trump wisdom. Come prepared, take care of yourself, and take the time you need to do things well.
